Armosa is the new name for all the activities of the Biosix/Belgagri/Aedes-Protecta group. Armosa demonstrates our shared ambition and our claim to leadership in the pest control and prevention market.
In the years to come, Armosa will focus even more on innovation in order to develop effective, innovative and alternative products, adapted to the needs of our international customers.
Armosa refers to protection and harmony, with a nod to our headquarters on the river Meuse. It is a name that is easy to pronounce in many languages and that reflects what we stand for: efficiency, service, simplicity and leadership.

Our history
Armosa is a family business with a history that has brought us to where we are today: established in Wallonia and growing into a global partner in pest control.
The Belgian company Belgagri was founded in Wallonia in 1985.
10 years after Belgagri was founded, Vincent Samain took over the company. He is also the current CEO of Armosa.
Armosa defends Azamethiphos against the European Biocidal Products Directive (BPD). This widely applicable household insecticide controls cockroaches, beetles, insects, spiders and other arthropods and is not toxic for mammals.
In 2010 the company moves to Engis, the Belgian headquarters of Armosa.
Armosa continues its international growth and, for the first time, reaches beyond the borders of Europe.
In 2015 Armosa shares more information about Cyromazine, a chemical formula that forms the basis for conventional products. In the same year Armosa acquires the French company Protecta and the Spanish AGH, strengthening its impact in both countries.
Armosa acquires the Dutch company Parasitec. In the same year Protecta merges with the French Aedes to form Aedes-Protecta.
In 2019 land is purchased near Avignon, where construction of Aedes-Protecta’s brand new administrative and logistics centre starts a year later.
With this new location in the Paris suburbs, Armosa has additional storage space and a new training centre close to the French capital.
Armosa acquires the French company Girerd, a producer of traditional, reproductive and non-hybrid seeds. The Dutch agricultural wholesaler Span is acquired the same year.
The new building in Vedène is inaugurated 2 years after the first plans. The more than 4,000 m² allow for extra storage space for logistics, meeting rooms and a brand-new training centre.
